Welcome to TESDA-Las Navas Agro-Industrial School!
BRIEF HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Las Navas Agro-Industrial School (LNAIS) was established by virtue of Batas Pambansa Bilang 403. Its operation started October 3, 1983 with its first-year enrollees coming from the defunct H. Jolejole Barangay High School. The school was under the supervision of Department of Education Culture and Sports (DECS), Republic Act 7796 which created the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), classified Las Navas Agro-Industrial School as TESDA-administered Institution offering post-secondary programs and vocational courses in agri-fishery, tourism, information technology, service trades and other technical courses. On September 2002 as mandated by TESDA Law, LNAIS turned over its secondary program to DepEd. LNAIS is strategically located in the Catubig Valley, the so-called rice granary of Northern Samar. Entrepreneurship is encouraged among technology instructors to expose their students into agri-business and other trade areas. All school projects are income generating and adopt the concept of earning while learning. The school programs and services provide accessible, affordable and quality agri-technical education with innovative competency-based instruction and delivery for its graduates to be employable and globally competitive. Dr. Rodolfo T. Galit, Sr., Vocational School Principal pioneered the opening of the school. Mr. Crisologo L. Ramasasa succeeded him as Office-In-Charge from 2002-2004., followed by Mr. Arturo T. Igat from 2004 to February 2008, then by Ms. Vivian A. Poblete, from March 2008-2018, the administration continuing in the same year by Ms. Maricar Z.
